This is a training video aimed at all school staff to give a greater understanding of Cognitive Load Theory. Perfect for an after school staff meeting or inset day. This in depth CPD offers knowledge of Cognitive Load Theory. It also covers how that impacts our practice in schools and a range of practical solutions to implementing it in the classroom right away. Cognitive Load Theory has been around since the 1980s. It tells us that we are more likely to learn things long term if we remove distractions from our learning and focus on the core knowledge that we need. Our video staff meetings are designed to allow your staff team to reflect on current educational theory. They then discuss ways to implement ideas that could work for your children. Finally they plan a way forward. This makes our CPD value for money as the impact will be measurable. Duration: Approx 28 minutes plus opportunities for staff reflection throughout including an action planning session at the end. -
