Ruby is an experienced Headteacher, teaching and learning expert and Primary curriculum consultant, who has written nationally used curriculum resources for RSHE (Talking Points – a full coverage scheme based around high quality texts) and personal development (COGS – Creating our Greatest Self).
She has delivered national training courses on reading for the bottom 20%, curriculum design and teaching & learning. Ruby has published work on the use of metacognition in the classroom and improving long term memory.
Ruby has most recently has supported teaching & learning across a medium sized Trust with a focus on the foundation subjects and written both art and maths schemes for them. She has written a whole school curriculum which has been described as ‘innovative, progressive and aspirational’ by serving Ofsted inspectors.
Ruby is currently writing schemes which include metacognition woven through their heart and she is passionate about improving teaching & learning and supporting curriculum development through CPD, lesson study and coaching.
