This service will enable you to complete your self-evaluation and/or school development plan. You will work with a consultant for a day, online, to complete an audit of your school practice against the Ofsted framework. This audit works through safeguarding, the quality of education, behaviour and attitudes, personal development, leadership and management, and early years. The audit includes examples of what good practice looks like and examples of how aspects might be implemented in school. There are also indications of where evidence might be found and what the evidence might include. This audit has been used in a number of ways including schools who have sent the spreadsheet to Ofsted inspectors rather than a self-evaluation form.
From this audit you will identify what makes your school unique enabling you to celebrate your strengths on your self-evaluation form. If you choose to work on your school development plan, you will also identify what your next goals will be and you will work with the consultant to identify exactly what will have the most impact on your school and how you might implement this in a structured, timely, and strategic way.
If you have chosen to work on the evaluation then the consultant will help you to write your evaluation succinctly or ensure there are clear milestones and success criteria in your development planning. You will also link this to potential CPD for your team and you will be able to work with the consultant to map out your CPD against your development milestones.
The consultant will advise you on how to be succinct, on how to benchmark and milestone your plans and how to achieve your goals depending on whether you wish to complete your self evaluation form or school development planning in your time with the consultant.
