Emma is an experienced Early Years professional and in class practitioner who regularly provides continued professional development (CPD) for EYFS staff, class teachers and subject leads CPD for her setting. She also provides updates and training for governors. Having been a teacher herself in the Early Years for over ten years, Emma has spent eight years as a successful early years lead. Currently Emma subject leads Art for the whole school and has previously lead Science and Phonics.
Emma is a subject leader in education for the catholic diocese helping to support and improve EYFS settings in curriculum design, behaviour management (routines and timetabling), and supporting new EYFS leads. She has also taken part in many successful EYFS moderations and often runs the CFOS (Catholic Federation of Schools) moderation.
Emma has developed and researched a bespoke curriculum for her setting and works to support other colleagues in curriculum writing. She is passionate about providing support in settings to develop children’s self-regulation and executive functioning and has developed a successful program within her own setting. This program has had a profound impact on children as they become school ready and transition into year one.
